SRPD Officers Catch Suspects wanted for Felony Vandalism
On Sunday March 30th at approximately 7:20am, Santa Rosa Police Officers were dispatched to North Bay Motor Sports at 55 College Avenue, for a vandalism in progress. A witness described seeing two suspects, dressed in dark clothing, spray painting graffiti on the side of the building.The first SRPD officer arrived in the area and located the two suspects matching the description, "tagging" a wall at 7 College Avenue. As the officer approached, the suspects took off running and a foot pursuit ensued. After chasing the suspects multiple blocks, they were detained near the intersection of Central Avenue and Ridgeway Avenue.
Officers located multiple cans of spray paint in the suspects' possession. The suspects were determined to be juveniles, ages 15 and 16. Their names will not be released at this time.
The juvenile suspects were charged with the following offenses:
594(b)(1)PC -Felony vandalism
148(a)(1) PC - Misdemeanor resisting arrest
182(a)(1) - Felony Conspiracy
