SRPD News Release: Santa Rosa Police Department Checkpoint Results
On Friday March 21, 2025, 3 drivers were arrested for DUI.
The DUI checkpoint was held at College Ave and Morgan Street from 8:00 p.m. until 12:00 a.m.
8 drivers were cited for operating a vehicle unlicensed and 4 driver was cited for operating a vehicle with a suspended/revoked license, 923 vehicles were contacted, and 18 drivers were evaluated for DUI.
DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes. The primary purpose of DUI checkpoints are to promote public safety by taking suspected impaired drivers off roads.
Funding for this checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
