Santa Rosa Police Department's Narcotic Investigations Team Honored with WSIN 2024 Agency of the Year Award
The Santa Rosa Police Department (SRPD) is proud to announce that its Narcotics Investigations Team has been recognized as the recipient of the Western States Information Network (WSIN) 2024 Agency of the Year for California Region 2. This prestigious award highlights the team's exceptional efforts and achievements in combating narcotics-related crimes.
WSIN is one of six Regional Information Sharing Systems (RISS) Centers funded by Congress through the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs. WSIN provides criminal intelligence information, and case and event de-confliction for law enforcement investigations being conducted in Alaska, California, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington. The network plays a crucial role in enhancing the effectiveness of law enforcement agencies by facilitating the sharing of information and resources.
In 2024, the SRPD Narcotic Investigations Team made 1,806 inquiries through WSIN, demonstrating their commitment to leveraging available resources for effective investigations. The team's relentless efforts led to significant seizures, including:
