Community Assistance Needed to Solve Armed Robbery Case

On Sunday, April 26, 2026, at approximately 8:39 p.m., two unidentified men entered Ortega’s Market, located at 1331 Guerneville Road. Both suspects presented handguns and demanded cash from store employees. One of the suspects fired one round during this incident. Detectives are still investigating to determine if this was intentional. No one was injured as a result of the gunshot. After taking an undisclosed amount of money from the store, the suspects fled on foot northbound through the parking lot and were then observed riding away on bicycles. Officers with the Santa Rosa Police Department (SRPD) responded to the area but were unable to locate either suspect.

The suspects, pictured below, are described as Hispanic adult males dressed entirely in black clothing, wearing black facemasks and blue gloves. Both suspects are believed to be between 25 and 30 years old and approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall. One suspect was described as having a slim build and light skin, while the other had a larger build with a darker complexion.

The SRPD Violent Crimes Investigations Team detectives are continuing to investigate this robbery and would like to speak with anyone who has information potentially related to this incident. A reward of up to $2,500 is being offered by the Sonoma County Alliance Community Engagement and Safety Rewards Fund. The reward is for information leading to the arrest of the suspect or suspects involved in this incident.
