Santa Rosa Police Department Checkpoint Results

Santa Rosa, Calif. – On Friday December 19, 2025, 4 drivers were arrested for DUI.

The DUI checkpoint was held at Piner Road and Coffee Lane from 8:00 p.m. until 12:00 a.m.

11 drivers were cited for operating a vehicle unlicensed and 2 drivers were cited for operating a vehicle with a suspended/revoked license, 996 vehicles were contacted, and 6 drivers were evaluated for DUI. One driver was additionaly arrested for felony evading and drug possession after failing to comply with officers at the checkpoint.

DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes. The primary purpose of DUI checkpoints are to promote public safety by taking suspected impaired drivers off roads.

Funding for this checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
