Traffic Stop Leads to Firearm Arrest on Highway 101

Santa Rosa, CA — On December 14, 2025, at approximately 12:00 p.m., a patrol officer traveling northbound on Highway 101 conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a Toyota sedan for a vehicle code violation. During the stop, a passenger admitted to possessing ammunition in his pocket.

A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a semi-automatic Glock 26 handgun concealed inside a postage box bearing the driver’s name. The firearm was not registered to either occupant of the vehicle.

The driver was identified as Halton Greenberg, 19, of Petaluma. Greenberg was arrested and booked into the Sonoma County Jail for the following charges:

  • PC 25400(a)(1) – Carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle
  • PC 25850(a) – Carrying a loaded firearm in a public place
