SRPD News Release: **Update #2** Homicide Investigation Leads to Arrests of Dublin Man and Woman

**Update #2** Homicide Investigation Leads to Arrests of Dublin Man and Woman

The Santa Rosa Police Department’s Violent Crimes Investigations Team (VCI) has made a major breakthrough in the investigation of the October 3, 2025, homicide of Mark Calcagni, which occurred in the 2200 block of Brookwood Avenue in Santa Rosa.

Although the case initially faced challenges due to limited evidence, VCI detectives remained persistent, following leads through witness interviews, surveillance footage, and digital evidence. Their efforts ultimately led to the identification of two suspects.

Detectives have arrested 43-year-old Richard Lund and 25-year-old Asia Morton, both residents of Dublin, CA. Morton and Lund were previously employed at an adult entertainment venue in San Francisco, where the victim was the manager. Detectives believe Lund fatally shot Calcagni after waiting for him to return home from work in the early morning hours of October 3, 2025. Morton, who was in a romantic relationship with Lund, is believed to have helped him plan the attack.

On October 24, 2025, VCI detectives took Lund into custody at an apartment complex where he and Morton resided, located in the 7500 block of St. Patrick Way in Dublin, CA. A short time later, Morton was apprehended at San Francisco International Airport after arriving on a plane from international travel. A search warrant was subsequently executed at Lund and Morton’s residence to gather evidence related to the homicide.

Detectives are still seeking information from the public that may shed light on the attack and its motivation. The SRPD encourages anyone with additional information related to this case to contact the Violent Crimes Investigations Team at 707-543-3590 or submit anonymous tips online at http://www.srcity.org/CrimeTips.
