Local Drug Ring Dismantled
In May 2025, detectives from the Santa Rosa Police Department Narcotics Team began an investigation into a local Drug Trafficking Organization (DTO). This DTO was comprised of several individuals who were selling cocaine, Ketamine, psilocybin mushrooms, etc. in Santa Rosa and its surrounding areas. Detectives identified 28-year-old Santa Rosa resident, Eyobell Solomon, and 19-year-old Sebastopol resident, Aaron Bennis, as two individuals involved in this DTO.On 6/26/25, at approximately 1230 hours, detectives from the Narcotics and Gang Crimes Teams executed the service of a search warrant in the 2000 block of Bock St, Santa Rosa. Detectives detained Solomon at the residence pursuant to the search warrant. A search of the residence yielded thousands of dollars’ worth of promethazine syrup, thousands of dollars’ worth of liquid and pill form methadone, two handguns, one of which was stolen, counterfeit Adderall pills, psilocybin mushrooms, and approximately $125,000.00 in US currency. Additionally, thousands of dollars’ worth of Apple products, small appliances, vacuum cleaners, etc in suspected stolen property were also recovered.
Solomon was arrested and booked into the Sonoma County jail for the following:
- 11351 H&S – Possession of a narcotic for sale.
- 496(a) PC – Possession of stolen property.
- 11378 H&S – Possession of a controlled substance for sale.
- 23900 PC – Possession of a firearm with obliterated serial number.
- 530.5 PC – Identity Theft
Detectives then responded to the 300 block of Murphy Av, Sebastopol, and executed the service of a search warrant at that location. Detectives detained Bennis pursuant to the search warrant. Detectives searched the residence and located cocaine, ketamine, and approximately $4,500.00 in US currency. Bennis was arrested and booked into the Sonoma County jail for the following violations:
- 11351 H&S – Possession of a narcotic for sale.
- 11378 H&S – Possession of a controlled substance for sale.
Over the course of several days after the above mentioned search warrants, detectives identified several other individuals involved in the sales of narcotics/controlled substances and obtained evidence all of these individuals were acting in concert to distribute and transport narcotics/controlled substances in Santa Rosa and its surrounding areas. These individuals were identified as 19-year-old Sebastopol resident, Jayson Cohen, 22-year-old Santa Rosa resident, David Castillejos, 19-year-old Santa Rosa resident, Jose Mata, 18-year-old Santa Rosa resident, Asha Gorsak-Mayberry, 20-year-old Santa Rosa resident, Brenna Troedson-Campbell, and a Santa Rosa juvenile.
All involved were arrested or a complaint was requested for the following violations:
- 11351 H&S – Possession of a Narcotic for Sale.
- 182(a)(1) PC – Conspiracy.
