West Lebanon, NH South Main Street Dry Bridge Project Update - Week of August 24, 2026

The contractor will continue to place compact gravel for the new road widening south of the bridge and continue to install sheet piles for the cofferdams.  The temporary pedestrian bridge is currently being erected and will be operational prior to the September 14 bridge closure. 
 
Utility relocations are also underway and will continue for several weeks.
 
As a reminder, while road work continues, construction crews and vehicles will be present in the area.  Two-way traffic will be maintained whenever possible, but motorists should expect periodic delays.  The bridge remains open to both vehicles and pedestrians at this time; however, beginning at 7:00 AM on Monday, September 14, 2026, the bridge will close for an allowed period of 365 days.  

Please use caution when traveling through the work zone and follow all posted signs and the direction of flaggers.
