Lebanon, NH - Continued Temporary Tunnel Closure through August 26, 2026

The City of Lebanon would like to remind pedestrians and bicyclists that the pedestrian tunnel under the Hanover Street/NH Route 120 bridge remains closed at this time for safety reasons.  The Department of Public Works is currently awaiting the delivery of walkthrough scaffolding and platforms.  Once received, the scaffolding will be installed and the tunnel is expected to reopen on Thursday, August 27, 2026.  Please note that a pedestrian detour is in place, and individuals are encouraged to avoid the area during this brief closure.

The City will continue to share updates through LebAlerts as more information becomes available.

We appreciate your patience as we work to ensure a safe passage through the tunnel.

The Hanover Street/NH Route 120 bridge construction project is scheduled to begin in Spring 2027, with a full bridge closure anticipated on or about June 15, 2027.  For more information about this project or to receive project alerts, please visit LebanonNH.gov/HanoverStBridge
