...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 615 PM HST THIS EVENING FOR THE
ISLAND OF MAUI IN MAUI COUNTY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall.

* WHERE...The island of Maui in Maui County.

* WHEN...Until 615 PM HST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in
streams.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 313 PM HST, radar indicated heavy rain over Upcountry Maui
near Pukalani. Rain was falling at a rate of up to 2 inches
per hour. Addiditional heavy showers will be possible
throughout the afternoon.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Kihei, Kula, Pukalani, Keokea, Makawao, Haliimaile, Paia,
Puunene, Wailea, Haiku-Pauwela, Pauwela, Ulupalakua, Huelo,
Makena, Hookipa Beach Park and Kailua.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone
to flooding.
