...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 630 PM HST THIS EVENING FOR
THE ISLAND OF MAUI IN MAUI COUNTY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...The island of Maui in Maui County.

* WHEN...Until 630 PM HST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in
streams.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 301 PM HST, radar indicated heavy rain over the west Maui
mountains, particularly near Maalaea. Rain was falling at a
rate of 0.5 to 1 inches per hour.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Kahului, Lahaina, Waihee, Wailuku, Waiehu, Waikapu, Olowalu,
Kahakuloa, Kaanapali, Napili-Honokowai, Kapalua, Honokohau,
Maalaea, Launiupoko, Ukumehame Beach Park and Honolua Bay.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone
to flooding.
