The City of Manitou Springs Water Department will be re-installing the water service connection to the residence at 124 Ruxton Avenue on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.

To ensure the safety of residents and crews, Ruxton Avenue will be closed from Osage Avenue to Capitol Hill Avenue for the duration of the work.

Detour Routes:

• Eastbound traffic: Capitol Hill Avenue → Waltham Avenue → Manitou Avenue
• Westbound traffic: Manitou Avenue → Minnehaha Avenue → Pine Ridge Avenue → Mesa Avenue → Illinois Avenue → Pilot Knob Avenue → Upper Ruxton Avenue

No parking will be permitted on Ruxton Avenue between Osage Avenue and Capitol Hill Avenue, or along Waltham Avenue. These restrictions are necessary to maintain emergency response access.



The sidewalk on the west side of Ruxton Avenue will be closed; however, the east side sidewalk will remain open for pedestrian use.



Traffic management signs and crews will be in place to assist motorists and pedestrians. This will be an active work zone, please do not trespass into marked areas. Individuals entering restricted zones may be subject to citation.
