Temporary Road Closures and Parking Restrictions for the 2nd Annual Manitou 5K Benefiting MSSD14

The City of Manitou Springs advises residents and visitors of temporary road closures and parking restrictions on Saturday, October 11, 2025, to accommodate the 2nd Annual Manitou 5K, benefiting Manitou Springs School District 14 (MSSD14). The City is proud to be one of the event sponsors.

The 5K race will start and finish at Fields Park, 114 El Paso Blvd., Manitou Springs, CO 80829. Participants will run or walk along the flat, accessible Creek Walk Trail route beside Fountain Creek.

To ensure the safety of runners, walkers, and event volunteers, the following closures and restrictions will be in effect:
 
  • Road Closures (9 a.m.–10 a.m.):
    • Mayfair Avenue from Manitou Avenue to El Paso Boulevard
    • El Paso Boulevard from Crow Pine Court to Garden of the Gods Place
    • Traffic will be detoured via Garden of the Gods Place and Old Mans Trail to access Manitou Avenue and El Paso Boulevard from alternate directions.
  • Parking Restrictions (7 a.m.–11 a.m.):
    • The parking lot at Fields Park will be closed during event setup and operations.

The attached map shows the detour routes that will be in place during the event. Drivers are encouraged to use caution and allow extra travel time when moving through the area.
