Creek Walk Trail Phase 4 Update: Temporary Closure on Mayfair Avenue Friday

The City of Manitou Springs is advising the public of a temporary closure associated with the ongoing Creek Walk Trail Phase 4 construction project.

On Friday, Oct. 10, 2025, work will require closure of Mayfair Avenue between Manitou Ave and El Paso Boulevard from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Crews continue to work on several key features along Manitou Avenue, including modification of the inlet structure, installation of pedestrian stair access, construction of light standard foundations, sidewalks, and concrete curb ramps. Additional electrical and irrigation work.

The Creek Walk Trail Phase 4 project represents a significant investment in Manitou Springs’ trail network enhancing safety, accessibility, and connectivity through downtown. The work is supported by a $250,000 Revitalizing Main Streets Grant from the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) and an additional $138,000 in funding from the City’s Open Space Advisory Committee (OSAC) to further improve pedestrian access and long-term infrastructure sustainability.
