Utility Pole Incident Causes Traffic Disruptions on Manitou Avenue
During work from Pauley Construction, a utility pole carrying a live electric line fell into Manitou Avenue near Old Mans Trail and onto a vehicle Tuesday afternoon, prompting an emergency response from local crews and first responders.
No injuries have been reported. Manitou Springs Fire Department, Police Department, and Public Services personnel are on scene managing traffic control and ensuring public safety. Utility partners are also responding to secure the downed line and begin repairs.
Some traffic is being allowed through the area; however, motorists and pedestrians are strongly encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid delays.
