Lake Babcock Drive Anticipated to Reopen Labor Day, Monday, September 7

As part of the ongoing Babcock Ranch Road/State Road 31 Improvement Project, Lake Babcock Drive is anticipated to reopen to motorists on Labor Day, Monday, September 7. Although the roundabout will remain under construction, motorists will once again be able to access Lake Babcock Drive whether entering or exiting Babcock Ranch.

With the reopening of Lake Babcock Drive, the temporary detours utilizing Cypress Parkway, Greenway Boulevard and Saw Palmetto Parkway will no longer be in effect. The improvement project remains on schedule for completion by mid-2027 and will enhance drainage, improve safety, increase traffic flow and vehicle access throughout the corridor.
