Wilson Pigott Bridge Reopens Following 10-Day Closure for Critical Repairs

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) announces the successful completion of repairs to the Wilson Pigott Bridge, which reopened to traffic at approximately 10:30 a.m. today following a 10-day closure.

The project involved replacing the aging steel grid deck with a new steel grid deck to enhance safety and extend the service life of the bridge.

All vehicles, including commercial trucks and buses, are now permitted to use the bridge.

While the temporary closure created challenges, the project was essential and will support safer travel moving forward. With the bridge now reopened, nearby communities can return to more typical traffic patterns.
