KPD arrests 6 people for various sex crimes
- Levi Birmingham, 36, from Milan, for one count of rape, two counts of statutory rape, one count of sodomy, four counts of statutory sodomy and two counts of child molestation.
- Kendrick Daniels, 45, from Kirksville, for one count of statutory rape, five counts of rape and one count of child molestation.
- Colton Daugherty, 20, from Kirksville, for three counts of sodomy and one count of child molestation.
- John Laurent, 65, from Kirksville, for two counts of possession of child pornography.
- Maurice Hall, 25, from Kirksville, for one count of statutory sodomy.
- Johnathon Gerber, 25, from Kirksville, for one count of possession of child pornography.

KPD arrests 6 people for various sex crimes

(Kirksville, MO) - During the last two weeks of April 2025, the Kirksville Police Department, in cooperation with Adair County Prosecuting Attorney David Goring, conducted a sex offender sweep that resulted in six arrests for various sex offenses.
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. The Kirksville Police Department recognizes all victims for their bravery in coming forward and reporting these cases.
These six unrelated cases are part of a larger push to bring justice to victims of sexual abuse and child pornography. The individual investigations, some spanning more than a year, involved extensive research, multiple interviews, and forensic data reviews.
Those arrested include:
“This is another example of great investigations from our detectives and the cooperative efforts of regional law enforcement,” said Kirksville Police Chief Scott Williamson. “I am extremely proud of their work and want to thank all of our law enforcement partners.”
