KPD welcomes new officers Durham, Peterson

(Kirksville, MO) - The Kirksville Police Department is pleased to announce the hiring of two new police officers. Officers Dylan Durham and Brandon Peterson were sworn in on March 13, 2025, and began their duties with the patrol division of KPD this week.


                                                                                    Dylan Durham is sworn in by City Clerk Diane Albrecht.

Durham came to the Kirksville Police Department after serving as a member of the City’s Public Works Department. Durham is a 2025 graduate of the Law Enforcement Training Institute (University of Missouri) and a Kirksville area native.


                                                                                 Brandon Peterson is sworn in by City Clerk Diane Albrecht.

Peterson is also a 2025 graduate of the Law Enforcement Training Institute (University of Missouri) and a Kirksville area native. Peterson is a United States Air Force veteran.
