Intersection of Hickory/Elson streets to close for stormwater improvements

(Kirksville, MO) - The City of Kirksville wants to inform residents of a new street closure for an ongoing stormwater project.

Lawson Construction continues working on stormwater improvements on Hickory Street. Beginning on Monday, July 27, the intersection of West Hickory Street and North Elson Street will be closed as this construction moves westward. This closure should last approximately three weeks, depending on weather.

Please use caution when driving through work zones, and pay attention to signage and personnel. Additionally, seek alternate routes if needing to travel through this area.

The City looks forward to improved drainage in these areas once the project is completed.
