Drone survey for safety study of North Green Street happening next week

(Kirksville, MO) - The City of Kirksville wants to inform the community that Allstate Consultants will operate a drone along North Green Street next week as part of a safety study.

Residents may remember that the City was awarded a Traffic Engineering Assistance Program (TEAP) Grant from the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission last year for a Pedestrian Safety and Sidewalk Study for Green Street.

This drone survey will provide valuable data to identify safer pedestrian solutions for travelers through this area.

The Public Works Department assures residents that all necessary precautions will be taken to ensure the safe and responsible operation of the drone during the surveying process. Additionally, residents' privacy will be respected, and the drone will focus solely on capturing topographical data.
