Unpaid Traffic Ticket Mail Scam
An apparent new scam letter has been circulating around town related to an unpaid traffic ticket.
Please disregard a scam letter that indicates a private law firm has been hired by the Palm Beach County Circuit Court & Comptroller to collect the payment. The Palm Beach County Clerk of Court will never hire a private law firm to collect traffic fees. Please do not respond to these letters and dispose of them upon receipt.
If you ever have any questions or concerns related to someone asking for money or anything of value by mail, e-mail, or text message, please stop by the Police Department or give us a call at 561-732-8331. Thank you.
