Certification Classes
Alta Canyon Sports Center offers the following American Red Cross Certification: lifeguard, water safety instructor, and lifeguard instructor.
With lifeguard certification, you can be a lifeguard, teach the Junior Lifeguard class, and learn first aid skills for daily life. You must be 15 or older to attend these classes.
The Water Safety Instructor (WSI) course certifies you to teach group and private swim lessons. You must be 16 or older to attend this class.
Lifeguard Instructors train and certify the new lifeguards. You must be 17 years old to receive this lifeguard instructor course.
