Sandy City May Newsletter

June means the arrival of summer and in Sandy, that means concerts, farmers markets, movies in the park, patriotic celebrations, and plenty of ways to enjoy the season with family and friends. Animal Night At Sandy Food Truck Night

Animal Services Night is coming to Food Truck Night at Sandy Amphitheater Park on Monday, June 1, from 5 to 8 p.m. The evening will feature free pet microchipping for Sandy residents, live K9 demonstrations at 6 and 7:30 p.m., and a chance to meet the Mayor Zoltanski’s baby horses. Bring the family, grab dinner from local food trucks, and enjoy a fun summer evening in the park. Please remember to keep dogs leashed during the event.

Third Annual Shop & Strol

Celebrate and support local businesses at the Third Annual Shop & Stroll on Thursday, June 4, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at Union Square Shopping Center. Enjoy an evening of shopping, strolling, prizes, snow cones, face painting, balloon twisters, and more. Participating businesses will be set up along the sidewalks for an easy and fun community shopping experience. Be sure to collect stickers from participating shops to complete your shopping passport.

Movies in the Park

Grab your blankets, lawn chairs, and favorite movie snacks because Movies in the Park returns June 18 with Disney and Pixar’s Inside Out 2 at Flat Iron Mesa Park. Families can enjoy a free evening under the stars beginning at 7 p.m. with fun activities before the movie starts at dusk. It is the perfect way to kick off a summer night in Sandy with family, friends, and a little JOY, SADNESS, ANGER, and ANXIETY along the way.

Sandy City Farmers Market

Fresh produce, handmade goods, local treats, live music, and mountain views? That sounds like a perfect Saturday in Sandy. The Sandy Farmers Market returns to Amphitheater Park every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., bringing together local farmers, artisans, food vendors, and community fun all summer long.
