Heritage Festival & Horse ParadeJoin us for the annual Heritage Festival on September 27, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Historic Sandy District. The day kicks off with a spectacular horse parade at 10:00 a.m., followed by live music, food vendors, bounce houses, face painting, and more, all set against the backdrop of our community’s rich heritage. |

Sandy Healing FieldJoin us at the Utah Healing Field in Sandy City, from September 10—15. Walk among rows of American flags honoring our military service members, first responders, and their families. Take a moment to reflect, remember, and show your gratitude in this meaningful tribute. |

Voter InformationThe results of the Sandy City Primary Election are now official. The top two candidates in each race will move on to the Municipal General Election.
Registered voters will receive their second ballots by mail on Oct. 14. Those who are not registered to vote can do so up to 11 days before the general election. Please be sure to return your ballot by mail by Oct. 28, or vote in person on Nov. 4. |

Be Ready Sandy Preparedness Open HouseSeptember is National Preparedness Month. Join us Wednesday, September 17, from 7–9 p.m. at Sandy City Hall for a free, hands-on event with booths and demonstrations on go-bags, food and water storage, first aid, emergency communications, and more. All ages welcome. |

National Day of ServiceJoin us on Saturday, September 6, for the National Day of Service as we honor our first responders. A special program will be held from 9 to 9:30 a.m. at Sandy City Hall, featuring the Utah Pipe Band, Color Guard, a 21-gun salute, and the Free Methodist Choir-Congo. |

Save the Date – Station 31 Grand OpeningJoin us on Saturday, October 11, for the grand opening of Sandy Fire Station 31. Enjoy a community pancake breakfast, kids’ activities, a “ribbon cutting” and guided tours of the new station during our open house. More details will be shared soon, so please mark your calendars and join us in celebration! |
Construction ClosuresUTA will replace the rail line and concrete crossing at 9000 South between State Street and 700 East. This work requires full closures in both directions during construction, with all lanes reopening between phases for the Real game Saturday evening.
