Winston Avenue Public Beach Reopened on July 31, 2025

The public beach at Winston Avenue in Provincetown is now reopened to swimming effective immediately.

The beach was closed on July 22, 2025 due to elevated levels of bacteria detected by the Barnstable County Beach Monitoring Program. The water at the beach has been tested regularly following the closure. The samples collected and analyzed today indicate that bacteria levels have subsided and the water is now considered safe for swimming.
