This is an important safety notification regarding recent complaints of fireworks in and around your neighborhood. The Orleans Police and Fire Departments have recently received multiple complaints of fireworks being set off around the area of Kent's Point. Unfortunately, these fireworks resulted in a significant brush fire near a residence which had to be extinguished by the Orleans Fire Department.   

To ensure the safety of all residents and prevent further incidents, we urge you to adhere to the following guidelines:

• Report suspicious activities: If you witness any illegal fireworks use, please report it immediately to the Orleans Police Department at 508-255-0117 or the Orleans Fire Department at 508-255-0050.
• Refrain from using fireworks: The use of fireworks is not only dangerous but also illegal within the Town of Orleans, especially during dry conditions.
