UPDATE - Continued Police Presence at Wheaton North High School
UPDATE 10:47a.m.: There is a continued police presence at Wheaton North High School while officers are continuing to investigate an alleged threat that was called in about the school. There continues to be no active threat. Wheaton North High School and nearby schools Longfellow, Sandburg, Washington and Hawthorne remain on a secure and teach out of an abundance of caution while police continue their investigation. We will continue to provide updates as they become available.

Police Presence at Wheaton North High School
The Wheaton Police Department is currently responding to Wheaton North High School to conduct an investigation regarding an alleged threat called in about the school. The Police Department and school officials have placed the school on a secure and teach while an investigation is conducted. At this time there is no active threat.
In addition, due to proximity, out of an abundance of caution, Longfellow, Sandburg, Washington and Hawthorne schools have also been placed on a secure and teach.
The Wheaton Police Department is asking for individuals to avoid coming to Wheaton North to allow police to conduct their investigation. More information will be provided as it becomes available
