Holiday Garbage Schedules, Christmas Tree Recycling, & City Office Closures
Please note these key dates related to the upcoming holidays and the City of Wheaton.
Garbage/Recycling Holiday Schedules:
- For residents served by LRS, there will be no pickup on Thursday, Dec. 25, and Thursday, Jan. 1. If your regular pickup day is Thursday or Friday, your pickup will be one day later the weeks of Dec. 22 and Dec. 29.
Christmas Tree Recycling:
- For residents served by LRS, free curbside Christmas tree recycling for live trees will be available on your regular garbage pickup day during the weeks of Dec. 29 and Jan. 5.
- After this free collection period, trees will require one garbage/organic LRS sticker to be picked up.
- Please remove all decorations, place the tree at the curb, and do not place it in a bag.
City Office Closures:
- Non-emergency City offices will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 25 and Thursday, Jan. 1.
