The National Weather Service in the Twin Cities has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Central Anoka County in east central Minnesota...
Northwest Hennepin and Northeast Hennepin County in east central
Minnesota...

* Until 215 PM CDT.

* At 115 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain over Champlin, or 15 miles north of Minneapolis, moving
northeast at 50 mph. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 1 hour. Additional
rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area.
Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Brooklyn Park, Maple Grove, Coon Rapids, Blaine, Andover, Fridley,
Champlin, Anoka, Ham Lake, Corcoran, Osseo and Blaine Airport.

Instructions
