ADVISORY - Hawaii DCR Alert -**UPDATE** Missing Work Furlough Inmate Captured in Texas
HONOLULU — Oʻahu Community Correctional Center work furlough inmate Issac Pascua was arrested in Texas by Lubbock Police Department officers on a full extradition warrant Friday, June 13, 2025.
Another individual, 42-year-old Jenny Pascua, was also arrested and charged with hindering apprehension or prosecution of a known felon.
Both are currently detained at the Lubbock County Detention Center. Issac Pascua will be extradited to Hawai‘i. Upon his arrival, he will be housed at the Hālawa Correctional Facility.
Prior to his arrest in Texas, Pascua, 41, left Module 20 at OCCC at the on a work furlough pass on May 23, 2025 and was supposed to return by 7:30 p.m. that day. State Sheriffs and the Honolulu Police Department were notified.
Pascua is serving time for kidnapping. He now faces a second-degree escape charge, a Class C felony that is punishable by up to five years in prison, if convicted.
Prior to his arrest in Texas, Pascua was a community custody inmate in the work furlough program with pass privileges. Community custody is the lowest security custody classification.
