Description

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...The Southern Sangre de Cristo Mountains, East Slopes of
the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Northeast Highlands, and South
Central Mountains. This includes the Hermits Peak Calf Canyon burn
scar and Ruidoso area burn scars.

* WHEN...From Sunday afternoon through Sunday evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Thunderstorms will produce locally heavy rainfall, with rates
of up to 2 to 3 inches per hour, over the Hermits Peak Calf
Canyon burn scar and Ruidoso area burn scars beginning midday
Sunday through sunset. There is a high risk for flash
flooding on and below the burn scars.
