Description
* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...The South Central Mountains, including the Ruidoso area
burn scars.
* WHEN...Friday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Slow-moving thunderstorms Friday afternoon will be capable of
producing heavy rainfall rates in excess of one inch per hour,
which could create rapid runoff and debris flows downstream of
burn scars.
- Areas on and downstream of the South Fork and Salt burn scars in
Ruidoso and the Seven Cabins burn scar in the Capitan Mountains.
