Description

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...A portion of central New Mexico, including the following
area, South Central Mountains.

* WHEN...From 3 PM MDT this afternoon through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be
flooded. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Isolated to widely scattered showers and thunderstorms will
develop during the middle to late afternoon, then multiple
rounds of showers and thunderstorms are forecast this evening
through tonight. Some storms will be capable of producing
torrential rainfall at rates over 2 inches per hour with a
risk of flash flooding both below and away from burn scars.
