Description

The National Weather Service in Tucson has issued a

* Dust Storm Warning for...
Southeastern Cochise County in southeastern Arizona...

* Until 730 PM MST.

* At 621 PM MST, a wall of dust was located along a line from near
Sunizona east towards the New Mexico border, moving south at 30
mph.

HAZARD...Less than a quarter mile visibility.

SOURCE...Detected by National Weather Service meteorologists.

IMPACT...Dangerous life-threatening travel.

* Locations impacted include...
Douglas, Bisbee, Hereford, Portal, Naco, Bisbee-Douglas Airport,
Chiricahua National Monument, Pearce-Sunsites, Pirtleville,
Elfrida, Sunizona, McNeal, Rucker Canyon, Paradise and Kansas
Settlement.

This includes the following highways...
Route 80 between mile markers 334 and 415.
Route 181 between mile markers 39 and 64.
Route 191 between mile markers 1 and 47.
Route 92 between mile markers 344 and 355.
Route 186 between mile markers 356 and 359.

Instructions

Motorists should not drive into a dust storm. PULL ASIDE STAY ALIVE!

Dust storms lead to dangerous driving conditions with visibility
reduced to near zero. If driving, avoid dust storms if possible. If
caught in one, pull off the road, turn off your lights and keep your
foot off the brake.
